Abstract

Realizamos o presente estudo, para conhecer o consumo de medicamentos por prescrição médica, mediante o estudo dos indicadores selecionados (OMS) e algumas características de antibioticoterapia que mostram o uso abusivo de medicamentos, com ou sem prescrição médica, praticamente na pediatria. Durante o período de três meses (de abril a junho de 1998), foram analisadas 1051 prescrições médicas em 656 crianças (100% das crianças atendidas no período) na faixa etária de zero a 12 anos, num total de 2643 medicamentos.
