Abstract

Um dos objetivos maiores do farmacêutico hospitalar é melhorar a qualidade da terapêutica farmacológica praticada na instituição, através de inúmeras ações que promovam o uso racional de medicamentos. Sabe-se que o uso indiscriminado de antimicrobianos pode causar graves consequências, tanto para o paciente, em termos de reações adversas e aumento da resistência bacteriana, enquanto para o hospital, em termos de gastos desnecessários.
