Abstract

O uso de plantas ou uso de extratos vegetais em cosméticos vem ganhando aceitação por parte dos profissionais da área e, mais ainda, pelos consumidores, principalmente, por que houve, nos últimos anos, uma valorização dos produtos naturais. No caso dos cereais como a aveia (Avena sativa) e o trigo (Triticum aestivim), seus extratos vêm sendo incorporados em formulações destinadas ao cuidado de pele devido à presença de vitaminas, sais minerais e ácidos fenólicos derivados do ácido cinâmico que apresentam propriedades antioxidantes.
