ELABORAÇÃO DE UM FORMULÁRIO TERAPÊUTICO PARA INSTITUIÇÃO ASILAR DO SUL DE SANTA CATARINA

Abstract

Nos últimos anos, tem‑se observado um aumento considerável no número de habitantes acima de 60 anos de idade (LOYOLA FILHO et. al., 2005; ROMANO LIEBERET. al., 2002; VERAS et. al, 1987). Considera‑se que este episódio venha ocorrendo como conseqüência da redução da fecundidade, aumento da expectativa de vida, redução da mortalidade infantil através de programas assistências e um melhor atendimento à saúde (LOYOLA FILHO et. al.,2005; ROMANO LIEBER et al., 2002). Em geral, os idosos convivem mais freqüentemente com problemas crônicos de saúde o que os leva a uma maior utilização destes serviços e um elevado consumo de medicamentos(LOYOLA FILHO et. al., 2005). Esses fatores associados a problemas de prescrições, tratamentos inapropriados ou utilização inadequada dos medicamentos, bem como, a automedicação, acarretam gastos adicionais ao paciente e ao sistema de saúde como, também, contribuem para um uso irracional dos medicamentos (ROZENFELD, 2003).
