Abstract

Nos últimos anos as diretrizes do Sistema Único de Saúde (universalização, descentralização, integridade e participação popular) têm alcançado um desenvolvimento importante, gerando a necessidade de aperfeiçoamento e busca de novas estratégias para ampliar a capacidade de gestão e dinamizar a organização do sistema municipal de saúde. Pensar sobre a integralidade das ações e dos serviços de saúde também significa pensar sobre as ações e os serviços de assistência farmacêutica (AF). Considerando que a maioria das intervenções em saúde envolve o uso de medicamentos e que tal uso pode ser determinante para a obtenção de menor ou maior resultado, é imperativo que a assistência farmacêutica seja vista sob ótica integral.
