ATENÇÃO FARMACÊUTICA NA HIPERTENSÃO ARTERIAL EM UMA FARMÁCIA DE DOURADOS, MATO GROSSO DO SUL

Abstract

A Hipertensão Arterial é uma doença crônica que apresenta elevado custo médico-social, pois é um dos mais importantes fatores de risco para o desenvolvimento de doenças cardiovasculares. Em 1998, foram registrados 930 mil óbitos, sendo que 27% foram ocasionados por desordens cardiovasculares (IV Diretrizes Brasileiras de Hipertensão Arterial, 2002). A participação do farmacêutico na equipe multiprofissional tem sido consolidada, e a sua proximidade da comunidade reforça a implementação de projetos no combate à hipertensão, tendo como local de realização a própria farmácia e a aplicação de uma nova prática: a Atenção Farmacêutica. (EUROPHARMFórum/CINDI, 2000, OPS/OMS, 2002).
