Abstract
A água é essencial à saúde dos seres vivos. Para consumo humano, deve ser limpa e livre de quaisquer patógenos, impurezas e de qualquer tipo de contaminação que cause danos à saúde. 5Assegurar a qualidade da água para consumo humano constitui um objetivo primordial nas sociedades atuais, ponderada a sua importância para a saúde e a necessidade de salvaguardar e promover a sua utilização sustentável. 4Sem dúvida, o melhor método de assegurar água adequada para consumo humano consiste em formas de proteção, evitando-se contaminação por matéria-fecal e outros resíduos, os quais contêm grande quantidade de bactérias, vírus, protozoários e helmintos que podem vir a trazer enfermidades como febre tifóide, amebíase,hepatite,diarréias virais e outras. 6,8Downloads
