Abstract

O uso de medicamentos sem prescrição médica é um hábito muito freqüente na população brasileira (SILVA etal., 2005), estando o Brasil entre os dez maiores mercados consumidores de medicamentos, no mundo. De acordocom a Abifarma, cerca de 80 milhões de pessoas são adeptas da automedicação (HERRERIAS, et al., 2000), das quais todos os anos, muitas vão a óbito no país.
