MARCADORES TUMORAIS EM ONCOLOGIA
Abstract
Os marcadores tumorais são substâncias que funcionam como indicadores da presença de câncer. Esses podem ser produzidos pelo tumor diretamente ou pelo organismo, em resposta a presença do tumor (Silveira, 2005). Podem ser caracterizados ou quantificados por meios bioquímicos ou imuno‑histoquímicos nos tecidos ou no sangue, e por testes genéticos para pesquisas de oncogenes, genes supressores de tumores e alterações genéticas (Mattos et al.,2005). Em sua maioria, os marcadores tumorais são proteínas ou pedaços de proteínas (Almeida, 2004), incluindo antígenos de superfície celular, proteínas citoplasmáticas, enzimas e hormônios (Mattos et al., 2005).Downloads
