Abstract

A ação ou efeito de medicamentos sobre os testes laboratoriais pode ser feito por um destes dois mecanismos:

- Analítico (In Vitro)

- Biológico (In Vivo)

O conhecimento prévio da interferência analítica deve anteceder os estudos dos efeitos biológicos. A interferência devido as concentrações inusualmente altas de produtos naturais, tal como a bilirrubina, não será aqui considerada, muito embora a metodologia que aqui se descreve possa ser aplicada a este tipo de interferência.
