Estudos farmacocinéticos são relevantes, uma vez que fornecem dados para determinação de medidas terapêuticas e de prevenção quanto ao uso de substâncias exógenas.
Neste sentido, o benefício da prescrição de um fármaco para nutrizes de ser ponderado, tendo-se em vista os riscos potenciais ao recém-nascido (RN).
